Load In and Set Up Times
Friday Afternoon – Large Exhibits Saturday Morning – All Exhibits
- Set up for LARGE exhibits takes place in the Hall B on the ground floor of the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center on Friday after 3pm.
- There is NO OVERNIGHT SECURITY ON FRIDAY OR SUNDAY evening.
- Regular set up takes place beginning at 8am Saturday morning.
- NO ONE IS TO LOAD IN THROUGH THE FRONT ENTRANCE. Everyone is to use the load-in dock around back. There are large bay doors to facilitate bringing all your items in. The same applies on Sunday during load out.
- All exhibits must be completely set up by 12pm on Saturday before the show opens at 1pm. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Rum Consumption – Important
We generally recommend 100 samples (1/4 ounce) per bottle. Perhaps a bit more for a cocktail. So a minimum of 12 bottles would be suggested to sample 1,200 people. Of course not everyone can sample every rum. But over the course of the two days the VIPs do sample many expressions as they are very serious rum connoisseurs.
Ice will be provided to your booth throughout the show. The ice truck is kept in the back of the convention hall and our show personnel will deliver bags to you. If there is no one at the ice truck, there will be a clipboard with pad and pen where you can put your brand name and booth number and the ice will be brought to you. We recommend you have a cooler or some type of container to store your ice within your booth.
The minimum cost of electricity in your exhibit space is $92.22 for a 5 amp circuit. Please email Robin Burr to request complete details on electricity.

RumXP Tasting Competition
A tasting competition organized by the International Rum Expert Panel (RumXP) will take place Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the convention center. The combined experience of these notable RumXP judges spans many dozens of countries and hundreds of brands. They are authors, lecturers, trainers, historians, journalists, consultants, collectors, proprietors, mixologists and promoters of rum. All rums registered at the Grand Tasting will be included in the competition and each product bottle photo will be showcased in the show program.

will be presented at 2:30pm Saturday on the Main Stage.
RumXP Judges Familiarization Events
A limited number of opportunities will be available for rum brands to host private meetings with the group of Rum Experts to become more familiar with their products. Approximately 20 leading RumXP members from around the world will be in attendance during the week. The fee for this personal meeting is $995 plus the cost of breakfast or lunch arranged with the catering department of the convention Center. To arrange a special RumXP group meeting to brief these experts on your product line, announce a new product, or get their feedback on a new or existing product, contact Robin Burr.
A limited number of interactive seminars and master classes will be presented at the Grand Tasting Events by leading rum experts, cocktail historians, world-class mixologists and luminaries of the spirits world. The fee for hosting a seminar is $795 for standard exhibitors, complimentary for prime exhibitors.

If you purchase trade tickets for your customers in the business, they will be emailed to you on or before May 25. The designated person on your contract will be the person to receive these tickets via email. You’re encouraged to give these special privilege passes to important people in the rum industry, distributors, retailers, beverage managers, bartenders and spirit professionals. PLEASE NOTE: The tickets come from firstname.lastname@example.org and the subject line reads “Confirmation of Order #…” Often they go in spam or junk, so please double check those folders for this important email.
In your Exhibitor Contract you should have indicated the names of all personnel working in your booth. If you have not already done so, please get this information to Robin@RumRenaissance.com on or before May 25. Robin will submit the list to Complete Ticket Solutions, our ticket company, and they will have your badges printed and ready for pick up at the front ticketing area at the convention center on Saturday at 12 noon. Please have one person from your booth pick up the badges for your exhibit space.

Special Exhibitor Hotel Rate
Rum Renaissance exhibitors are entitled to special room rates (starting at $119 per night) at the Hilton. There are a limited number of rooms available at this reduced rate so book early.
